Yara Flowers

Amidst the busy streets of downtown Calgary, there is a spot where you will find some comfort, beauty and cheerfulness. This welcoming spot is Yara Flower Art, where you can take a moment to both literally and figuratively stop and smell the flowers. “We have different flowers and floral arrangements for all occasions,” says Katia Goussous, who runs Yara Flower Art with her husband. “Our customer favourites are roses and orchids, but if we don’t have something and you want it, we try our very best to get it for you.” Indeed, they do: one bride requested cotton flowers for her wedding and Yara Flower Art not only found a supplier, but also made sure the blooms were imported in very good condition. “The bride was extremely happy,” relates Katia, “so we were happy too.”

Yara Flower Art has bouquets and arrangements for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, proms and even those “I’m sorry” flowers to give to a significant other. “There are unlimited ways to express oneself through flowers,” says Katia. “Each arrangement and design that we make is based on what your intentions are, and we do our very best to articulate that with flowers.”
