Rated by Huffington Post as one of Edmonton’s seven best live venues, Bohemia has staked a reputation for itself as being a facilitator of housing more than just music. Dance, film and even literary events have contributed to Bohemia’s profile as one of the city’s most arts-friendly establishments.
It was the club's character and history that attracted Kevin Mattern to buying Bohemia late in 2014. "I’ve got a construction job in the day, but I was looking for something to do in the evening," says Kevin. "It’s kind of evolved into more of an arts and community type of thing there. I certainly got a lot of support from artists and it’s turned more into a community effort than an evening job."
