Summerwood Medical Clinic

I absolutely love going here. Coming from a small town in Alberta I often felt that the doctors I'd see didn't care about my problems and was often treated so disrespectfully. But coming into summerwood clinic I was just amazed at the care I was given. I felt like I was being listened to and cared for and left very happy. Thank you summerwood staff!! :)

The Summerwood Medical Clinic is wonderful. It is very personalized and welcoming, and the warm environment makes me feel like I'm not in a typical clinic. Dr. Oyama is kind, knowledgeable and very quick to help. It gets busy at times making for a wait period when the place is full, but it's worth it and I look forward to seeing him every time I visit. The service is great and the receptionists are pleasant and willing to assist in any way possible. Definitely recommended!

Well, it's true.....

Well, it's true...the receptionist is very cold and seems unwelcoming. But at least I've never had a problem getting in as a "walk-in". It just doesn't have a nice feeling to it, for some reason. The doctor that I saw wasn't very personable, either. Don't make patients feel like $$, doctors. Just sayin'.

Horrible horrible...

Horrible horrible!!! Horrible staff and the female doctor I seen was extremely horrible. You wouldn't think that as a health care provider you could be so cold, she doesn't not explain anything to you she will just stare at you blankly then tell you to go home. So if you love wasting your time, go see her. If I could rate this in the negative I would have gave it a negative 10. I guess that's why there is never anyone their.

The reception is ...

The reception is very rude. The only thing that they care about is how much they can get from treating you. The doctor even asked 50$ just for a physician letter. That's ridiculous! Even worse, when I asked them for the reimbursement with the Alberta Health Care, they refused to submit the claim form. I won't go there any more, and if you really take care of yourself, believe me, don't go there.

Front receptionis...

Front receptionist has repeatedly been rude, condescending, bitter at life to my family every single time we walk in that front door. I approach her with respect, and a smile. And she'll return your politeness with a discrentled smirk from her high horse secretariat job every time. She's good at booking appointments and photocopying. That's it. Good Doctors at this clinic. Unfortunately Dr Otitoju left so I haven't returned. Thankfully.

Upon arrival when...

Upon arrival when asking very politely how long the wait times were; the receptionist responded extremely inappropriately; was very rude and unbelievably persistent in her rudeness; ironically enough there was a sign posted on the wall stating " we do not tolerate harassment"..Right?! Never go there!
