Delicious food. Restaurant always smells like they are trying to cover up some kind of nasty odour with cleaning products. This is why I only get takeout rather than dining in. It is beautiful inside and I would dine in regularly if it didnt smell so strange.
Been a while since we last went so we gave it a go again last week. Service was very good. Ordered the appy combo A. deep-fried chicken patties were soft and rubbery and luke-warm like they had been cooked hours before and sat under a heat lamp. Ordered the ME-KO-RAT with chicken. wasnt fresh and definitely just came out of the microwave. arrived in a sticky clump and warm on the surface. broke the noodle surface and the steam and heat came blasting out. not impressed this time around.
Joe, the owner is from Thailand, but he speaks pretty good english. He always comes over and welcomes us! He knows that I order the same thing everytime and he offers to have the cooks make me something different. I often take him up on his offer and have always enjoyed his choices. When my brothers and their families come for dinner. Joe makes sure he looks after everyone! What a great guy! Ive gotten to know some of the wonderful staff and they are from all over the world. Highly recommend!
Your tips do not go to the the servers, cooks or busboys, the owner keeps them while paying minimum wage. Food, service and atmosphere are great, ethics and employment standards... not so much.
