I am realizing how very important it is to be self informed about eye health and eye care. Initially diagnosed with glaucoma in January 2019, my glaucoma became acute by March 2020 resulting in almost 6 months off work and a referral to an ophthalmologist for cataracts instead of glaucoma. I have learned a lot about glaucoma over the past months, and wish I had the knowledge back in 2019. I would have been much more concerned and proactive had I fully understood the severity of the disease.
