“When I was a very young kid, maybe 12 years-old, I took my cow for insemination at a village in India,” says Dr. Varinder Dabri, owner of The Dear Animal Hospital. “The inseminator there did not come out of his office; he just looked out the window and said that my cow might have a very small uterine size, so he wouldn’t do the insemination.”
This childhood event had a profound impact on Dr. Dabri, and he vowed that if he were ever to work with animals, he would never turn a patient away without treatment. It’s a philosophy he maintains to this day, doing everything in his power to help each animal that enters The Dear Animal Hospital.
“I try to accommodate everybody, even if they don’t have money on them,” Dr. Dabri says. “If they have an emergency, I still treat their pet, no question.” Dr. Dabri has a deep, strongly rooted compassion for the animals he treats, and empathy for the love owners have for their pets. Running The Dear Animal Hospital is certainly not about the money for Dr. Dabri: it’s about helping animals and their owners.
