At any time of day, giovane café + eatery is bustling with a surprising mix of people from the Coal Harbour neighbourhood. It’s this sense of relaxation and neighbourhood experience that executive sous chef Atticus Garant believes makes the eatery so popular. “For me, we have a little bit of everything but still maintain an authentic atmosphere. I feel like I belong here when I sit down. I can be anyone I want to be.”
Located on the ground floor of the five star Fairmont Pacific Rim, giovane café + eatery is West Coast modern meets European city chic. The bright interior features dark yellow leather wall benches, polished wooden tabletops and large windows. Photographs by Vancouver’s own Fred Herzog adorn the walls, while whimsical features such as a candy bar and a creatively designed coffee menu add additional flavour to the space.
