Yellow Orange Salon & Spa

They gave me a firm quote on the phone which i specifically asked is that the price or is it a starting price! When I went to pay it was inflated and the stylist was quoting double the price for a toner from what the front desk quoted. Seemed like if they didn't have prices Inorder very unprofessional impression. I would not return. The owner heard me express these concerns as I spoke to the lady at the front desk but did not intervene. I dont mind paying but charge me what I was quoted.

I just wanted to comment and thank the staff at Yellow Orange Salon and Spa. Whenever I come in to get any services done, the receptionist (think her name is Loren or Laura) always is so bubbly, and always has a smile on her face. She sends me up to the salon where I usually am greeted by Hilary or Elisa? (Spelling). Whichever one they are always quick to offer me a coffee or tea. And they escort you over to the stations and make great conversation. Then I'm usually greeted (Loudly) by my Lovable stylist GIANCARLO! He really loves and appreciated his clients and loves making jokes. He really makes me feel so comfortable and never nervous. I always leave the salon feeling so sexy and I recommend this salon to everyone. I am more than satisfied with my hair! I LOVE THIS SALON AND GIAN :)

Wonderful Salon

It has always been my experience at Yellow Orange hair salon...nothing but "FABULOUS", from the minute you enter their door, till the time I leave, they are all very professional, welcoming, friendly and treat me like a queen. I have been a customer going on 3 years now and have used most of their services they offer and am very satisfied and have recommended yellow orange many times to my friends and relatives. I must say it is the 1st salon for myself to be attached to and that is because they know how to make you look and feel your BEST! So if you're thinking of going...don't hesitate, you will NOT be disappointed.

Finding a new stylist was easier than I thought!

I've just recently moved to Aurora from London My neighbour told me about this shop, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the place. A numerous amount of workers, all very friendly and cheery, went about all the great places for us to check out in town. I enjoyed getting my hair done and look forward to going back for a pedi. My husband was also very pleased that the library being just steps away, was a great place for him to spend his time waiting for me after he had had his hair cut by a nice young lad Thank you Yellow Orange for making us feel welcome to our new town. ~Rina~

Hilary is amazing.

Hilary has been my hairstylist for about 4 months now, and I must say she is one of the best. She always is polite, proper and always has a smile on her face. She not only does amazing on my hair but she's always willing to go above and beyond. She will ask you for coffee, or a drink. Hilary washes you herself, and doesn't let the shampoo girl do it. And her station is always spotless. I love going to Yellow Orange and I heard that there moving. I can't wait to see there new place! I bet it will look great.

A terrible experience

Decided to try this salon as it was close to my work...this was a big mistake. Was given a new stylist who proceeded to colour my blonde hair a brilliant orange colour and then have the gall to tell me that this was the colour he was going for! After being told that this was not the colour I asked for, he then went on to "fix it" by making my blonde hair brown. The whole time, he made excuses about my colour and told me that he liked it! To make it worse, I have now been at the salon for 3 hours and as it is closing I am told by the owner that I must pay now as the receptionist is going on a date and cannot stay. I am then supposed to stay in the salon with the stylist who has damaged by hair and another male stylist. As my hair was not finished and I was still in shock by this whole experience, I decided to pay rather than refuse to and then be at the mercy of the stylist alone in the salon. I have never had an experience such as this, nor have I ever posted a review about a business. I did not find many negative reviews of this salon and I assume that the owner pays to have these reviews removed. I have told many people about my experience since and have heard many stories about the poor reputation this salon has locally among consumers and other businesses. I think the owner should have offered to comp this entire 4 hour show or offer to refund my money. My hair has finally recovered and I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere in Aurora to a more reputable salon. Wish I could give this salon zero stars.

Yellow Orange Salon is one of the best in Aurora

I have had my hair coloured, cut, highlighted several times with Danyal and have left each time with exactly what i asked for. He listens carefully, makes suggestions to improve upon what i asked and then masterfully completes his 'art'. I have received many compliments afterwards and always leave the salon feeling relaxed and satisfied! One of the best salons in Aurora.

Excellent Salon and Staff

I have been seeing Jeff at Yellow Orange for two years now and I am absolutely thrilled with his work. He is creative, precise, fast and he treats his clients with the utmost care and consideration. He cuts and colours my hair every 5-6 weeks and he manages to keep it in beautiful condition eventhough I like to colour it platinum blonde which is very harsh on my hair. I worked at a very exclusive hair salon in Bayview Village for seven years and I had very high expectations to fulfill when I started coming to see Jeff: Needless to say, his work has surpassed my expectations. Jeff and his staff are constantly upgrading their education with L'Oreal Professional courses and seminars and they keep up with all of the latest trends and techniques and equipment in the industry. Yellow Orange is a very professional salon, in an excellent location with ample parking. Few salon's in York region are up to the same exacting standards of Yellow Orange. I would highly recommed this salon to everybody who is looking for a professional, precise hair cut and colour.

Great Experience

I have been going to Yellow Orange since it opened and I might add I drive 2 hours, just to see Jeff and his staff, and to make sure that when I leave the Salon I feel great. The staff are friendly, and Jeff has been cutting & looking after my hair for ages, he is the best I have found!!! I find when I go there it is like a break away form the rest of the world, and when you leave you feel totally rejuvenated! Liz Weir

Great Hair Salon

I have been going to this salon for 2 years (Jeff the owner does my hair) and I LOVE it! He is fantastic and his staff are courteous and attentive. I do not agree with the other reviews posted hear at all! My hair is bleached and I always leave his salon with shiny healthy long hair! Other salons i've been to would always break my hair and leave it damaged, Never had that experience at this salon! Thanks for the great job Jeff and wonderful customer service.

The worst salon in Aurora/Newmarket

First of all, this salon belongs in the mall with the rest of the horrible salons. Yellow orange should get off their high horse. TERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE hair cuts, colour ..UPDO's I was part of a bridal party and we got our hair done there- 4/5 girls hated their hair. They had to get their hair redone at another salon. $$$$ down the toilet. They weren't careful with the colour, I had it all over my forehead and the girl just slapped it on my hair. The colour turned out ok (hard to mess up dark brown hair) but the dye was all over my collar, my shirt got wet when the girl washed my hair- very sloppy! Hair cuts- Un-even, i didn't get what i wanted! A good stylist listens to what their client wants and does it. Esthetician- Got my nails done there once too and it was the worst EVER! You are better off doing your own nails. I don't recommend this salon to anybody!

BAD HAIRCUT

I HATE MY HAIRCUT!!! DANYAL CUT IT WAY TOO SHORT!!! AT THE CONSULTATION, HE SAID HE WAS ONLY GOING TO TEXTURIZE IT. I TOLD HIM SPECIFICALLY NOT TO CUT MY HAIR ANY SHORTER, BUT HE DID ANYWAY. HE BUTCHERED THE BACK AND THE SIDES!!! I TOLD HIM I DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL AND WAS VERY UPSET. IT COST $68.25. I COMPLAINED TO THE OWNER AND ASKED FOR A REFUND. HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME REFUND. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE! STAY AWAY FROM YELLOW ORANGE IN AURORA - TERRIBLE HAIRDRESSERS AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
