Waitress was rude and scolded me. Clearly doesnt like her job. She appeared scattered and looked overall bitter.

Country boy is my favourite place to go for food, my favourite would be their breakfast soooo delicious!!!

Dirty --needs a good cleaning

I'm don't know why this restaurant gets such great reviews. The food was just OK. The restaurant itself is dirty and in need of good cleaning. I will not return

Country Boy

I have been coming here for almost 10 years on and off. The service is consistently good and the wait staff are able to accommodate specific requests quite promptly. Occasionally there is a line, particularly during breakfast on the weekend, but the owner seems to be able to manage his staff in a way that keeps the line moving quickly. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes in line for a table and I consider the wait worth it. The price to food quality and portion ratio is incredibly reasonable. The first time I went there and got the bill I could not believe how little I was paying. The atmosphere is nice, the restaurants seating mostly consists of booths that allow comfortable seating for groups of two but are a little small for groups of 3 or 4, especially the those 3 or 4 people are on the larger side of clothing sizes. The wait and cook staff are fast and efficient, the drinks, the meals, the bill all arrive fast without a ‘rush you in and out of the restaurant’ feeling and the food and coffee always arrives nice and hot. Parking can be an issue especially at breakfast during the weekend. There are several other businesses located in the same plaza where customers are competing for parking spaces. If the line is long, which it can be, sometimes you can be waiting in this weird shelter they have built just outside the door or even outside. This usually isn't a problem for most people mid spring to mid fall but can be kind of a deterrent to visiting the restaurant during a cold Canadian winter morning.

the food is ok, however, country boy just began charging a 15% gratuity across the board for eat in and take home. i will never return while this practice is in place this was a take home dinner, no tips are ever to be given for take out

Excellent Breakfest

I found the food of good quality& well cooked. Portions were huge. Potatoes were cooked well. Pot of coffee on the table. It was hot. Not very salty either the food. None of that frozen stuff. Service was excellent. Very busy place! One of the best breakfests in town. Yes I would go back.

As the theme suggests, this is a country diner. It delivered on that basis. I have ate here a few times.The food is good. Not fine dining good, but good. Very large portions for a reasonable price. The service was excellent. All the staff seemed to be happy and friendly.Our server was very attentive even though it was very busy. A nice place to pop in and get a meal.

2 strikes you're out!

One of the few places that offer liver and bacon... I love liver. Soup or salad and dessert is included in many menu items. The caesar salad is yummy. The lasagna is okay if you like green peppers in your lasagna (?)... The baked potatoes must have been boiled first because it was watery as heck, and the mixed veggies which I adore more than the liver, were obviously frozen, tossed into the microwave to heat and served almost raw and so tough you couldn't even cut them with a knife.The bacon wasprecooked and reheated, the consistency of shoe leather, while the so called fried onioins - well we won't even go there. The liver arrived smothered in gravy (I HATE gravy) although gravy was not mentioned on the menu. My liver, which I stressed that I wanted rare, was mostly well done, dry and tough after they scraped the gravy off, and threw it back in the pan (after washing???). Most of this meal, the liver and bacon at least went home for the dogs who have better teeth than I do. The complimentary garlic bread was anything but edible. Hard as a rock, stale, hardly any garlic or butter on it., They do not clear the plates before serving the next course... and the wait for service is awful. The wait to pay the bill is even worse! The rice pudding (ugh) - I am a lover of rice pudding, was disgusting. Like a mushy, gluey sweet paste. I had been asked if I wanted cinnamon on it and said no, so the cinnamon which someone had dumped on it was stirred in to hide it. Nice little lumpy balls oif cinnamon.,.,., the smell was overpowering there was so much of it,. Oh, and we were informed that they have two menus here. One set of prices for Monday to Thursday and a different menu for the weekend. Not again. How does this place stay in business??

so I go there for luch ..order soup get to the bottom of the bowl and there is a hair in it !! so my meal is free and we get a voucher for $10 for our next visit, so my better half convinces me to go for brekky .... get to the last part of the fried egg .... oh ya another hair !!!!! then the waitress says "oh let me look after this " so the owner of the joint comes over to our table and statrs YELLLING at us " no more free food for you ! " ummmm no ! no more business for you ! never go there

Breakfast for dinner

We decided to have breakfast for dinner, I ordered bacon and eggs, well, the bacon had been cooked so much it wasn't edible, I mentioned it to the server she said sorry did I want sausages. I wanted bacon, even the owner just said sorry through the waitress, they took 10% off but in my opinion I would have liked fresh cooked bacon. Won't go there again

Good food and friendly service

I had not eaten here for a while so I decided to try it out. The food was really good and the waitress was friendly and answered all our questions (which were many because of dietary restrictions). I would eat here again because it was reasonably priced and very good portions. The food itself was very good, not wow but good.

Vegies very soggy

The first time we went to Country Boy, the broccoli served with my steak was very soggy and tasteless. So, the second time we went, I specifically asked the server to make sure that the broccoli was was not overcooked. It was even worse than the previous time. The broccoli was so overcooked and soggy it was completely inedible. It was more yellow than green. The steak was amazing, very tender and cooked perfectly medium rare. the fries were also really good. The rice pudding which comes with the meal was also quite delicious. If I go again, if it comes with overcooked broccoli I will keep sending the plate back until they get it right.

I want to write a title for this review, but the option is gone, you should bring it back. I would recommend only going to this restaurant for breakfast, because their breakfast is good, but the lunch/dinner stuff doesn't interest me at all. I love their eggs benedict, I also love that they serve it till what the menu would tell you 3pm, but I think it's 4pm on weekend, so if you are a late rise, this one is for you. I know they serve breakfast all day though. It's the benedicts that are till 3pm, which I don't really understand, eggs are eggs. Country Boy is cheap, fast and tastey. I would recommend Country Boy because of their fast service, cheap prices and yummy breakfast. It's not 5 star worthly because it's just not all that and a bag of potatoe chips, but it is adequate for what you get! :)

Don't bother for lunch or supper, but this is a great breakfast place! Enjoy a cup of coffee and some AFV while you wait, if you go on a busy day. It's worth it!

My family and I go there here and there but this...

My family and I go there here and there but this time I took my sister and her friend. It didn't take us long to be seated but considering it wasn't very busy it took forever for the Server to come and even take our drink order. She deligently returned with our order then followed to take up our food order. I ordered the Chicken and Swiss with Bacon and when I asked if I could have a different bread other than the Kaiser she gave me quite an odd look. She said all the had otherwise was a hamburger bun. I was not aware they didn't carry bread anymore. But the bun was fairly large so I agreed. When we got the food everything seemed to be in order but again, it took a LONG time to get anything considering we were one of many 5 tables there at the time. The food was fantastic, nothing wrong with it, thankfully. But when we got take out containers she kind of threw them on the table and took off. This has happened a few times I've dined there and I was not impressed. I work in a restaurant-atmosphere as well and I know if I treat someone poorly not to expect a tip. I'd likely visit again but not for some time.

I know this place gets a lot of great reviews, but don't go expecting the best breakfast life has ever put in front of you. I imagine this is the reason for a lot of the bad reviews here. This is a nice restaurant, the decor is actually better than I expected and quite nice, but it's by no means a classy upscale place, so if that's what you're expecting, strike 1. The breakfast is... surprise! a typical American breakfast. That means it's about average, the presentation is not the best or the worst, and our toast had burnt edges, what I would expect of any breakfast place in this price range/category. The two nice touches that made me give the place 4 stars instead of 3 then for food, is that you can choose polish sausage instead of bacon/regular sausage as a side, which is really great! And their waffle with strawberry sauce tasted surprisingly good, despite it's somewhat sad appearance. So... don't go expecting the end of the world. It's a nice place to try, the atmosphere is great, the food so-so with nice touches here and there. If you don't like it, don't go back.

WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!the food is disgusting...the service is even worse and the "busboys" walk around in clothes that make them look like rapper wanna be's...the owner is sooo loud and obnoxious...interrupting people during their meal with stupid conversations trying to be all cool...the decor is horrible..we will NEVER be back here again...i do not understand how they get such great reviews,,,

We always come to Country Boy for breakfast on...

We always come to Country Boy for breakfast on the weekends, so busy and always great. We love the girls they are so nice. So we thought why not try dinner. We got greated well and sat down right away. Our server was so nice and they knew everything, and they were very helpful on choosing what to eat. There was sooo many specials! And you even get soup or salad and a basket of bread plus dessert at the end for a low price!! WOW we were soo happy! I ordered the 8oz steak med with mashed. It came out right and they use real potatoes! My friend Sarah had the galric baked sole. She said it was good. We both had salads, we took our dessert home we were soo stuffed and it was soo good. We will be coming again for dinner with other friends! Thanks, Jennus and Sarah

Disgusting Restaurant

Came here for breakfast with my family and was disgusted. The food was very late and awful and the sausages were undercooked. When i complained the owner was very rude and in very bad english said if we didn't like it to go somewhere else. Anyone who comes to eat in this restaurant is taking a risk with their health.

worst meal ever

Went for dinner because the breakfast is usually reasonable. Two of us ordered a hot beef sandwich, one sandwich was okay the other smelled funny. For the first time ever I sent something back and complained, next thing I know the owner/manager comes out not to apologize but to make excuses. The owner/manager had a piece of the meat they were going to cook the remade sandwich with and stuck it in my friends face to make sure it smelled okay. She was very embarrased by the rudeness as was the rest of the dinner party. Will never go there again
