Cousin's Food Emporium

Attention Cousins Food Emporium (C.F.E) My family, friends and I have been fairly regular customers of C.F.F for many years. It was brought to your attention that I was in quarantine due to being infected with COVID 19. On March 24, 2021, around 3:00pm, C.F.E. dropped of a couple of meals and some soup at my place of residence. This food and soup was greatly appreciated, and a very generous gesture on the part of C.F.E, of which I would like to express a great, heartfelt THANK YOU.

We just had Cousins for dinner and it was very delicious. We want to thank the new owners for preserving Cousins awesome Chicken Soulvaki dish. We only wish the best to the new owners. Please support the local diners!!! Cannot wait till we can dine in again and try the new menu items. Thank you !!!

Family Cooking

My family all love this place. We have 7 children and this was the one place we could go and have a wonderful meal and still afford it. Our grown children now take their own families here. This is good food,affordable, and something to please everyone. They have special diet plates and they will gladly switch things to suit all diets and tastes. And the staff are like family.

CANT COOK RICE!

my coworker bragged about this place for having a really great chicken souvlaki meal. went there for lunch and ordered the lunch size for take out. got back to the office and i literally almost choked on the rice grain being so cold, hard and really dry! it was disgusting! im partly asian im sure it aint that hard to cook proper rice. had to let my coworker know and she tells me she hasnt been there in a year. reading some of the comments here it seems like the new ppl that took over dont know what quality food is! well she aint missing NOTHING!

Have been going to Cousins since they opened. Was our favourite restaurant. My daughter had her Wedding dinner at Cousins in 2004. Everything was perfect. Since the new owners, quality of food has been steadily declining. This morning my daughter and I went for breakfast. Did not eat it. When we complained to server, we got major attitude. Cheese omelette looked like a crepe with a sprinkle of cheese melted on top. Potatoes had absolutely no flavour. So sad when a great restaurant substitues quality for profit.,Don't they realize people won't return when quality is so poor.

I have been going to this restaurant since I was 10 years old (20 now). This is the place we go for a Friday night dinner and you won't find a more friendly, bang-for-your buck restaurant ANYWHERE. Simple, tasty food and lots of it. Things I order/recommend: -Navy Bean soup -Hamburger (ask for bun toasted) -Chicken on a Kaiser (ask for bun toasted) -Prime Rib of Beef (Mashed or Roasted Potatoes) -Western Sandwich -Club Sandwich -Steak, mushrooms, roast potatoes -The last few visits the Pan Fried Trout has been good, I think because of the change in cooks. -Onion Rings -Chicken fingers & French fries My favourites have to be the hamburger and Prime Rib. Like many chain restaurant the hamburgers are the usually a frozen patty, far to symmetrical and that familiar taste of processed meat, but at cousins I get their homemade patty and I really like that fact. for $4.50 you won't find a more filling, tasty hamburger anywhere, at least I haven't. Lets just say its....large. Prime rib is a nice thick cut of beef, just what you want to see on your plate, and a large helping of potatoes....and OK, some veggies, but I don't really care much about those on a Friday. Tender juicy beef with creamy mashed potatoes, just what you need after a long week of cold weather.

This place is the GREATEST!! If you want your money worth and are feeling to leave a place with your tummy full, make sure you try cousins! The best clubs in Newmarket actually in all of toronto area! I have eaten at alot of restraunts and this one by far is my FAV!!

We had to wait a little while, as it was busy and we had a large party of 5 and a baby (6). Our server was very polite and helpful. The food was fresh and piping hot. I think I have found a goldmine. Portions were very generous,prices very resonable,nice atmosphere and close to home. Yes, I will be going again this Friday for a delicious meal.
