Off The Hook Gourmet Fish N' Chips est un établissement accueillant. Ce lieu apprécié est ouvert en soirée tous les jours de la semaine. Vous pouvez vous y rendre facilement par transport en commun ou vélo. L'arrondissement avoisinant est prisé pour ses nombreux parcs, restaurants et magasins.
Menu options at your average fish and chips restaurant are usually limited to haddock or cod, tartar sauce, coleslaw, French fries and not much else. In that respect, Off the Hook owner Steven Karataglidis and his staff deserve praises for putting a modern spin on traditional fast food. In the process they’ve created one of the few gourmet fish and chips joints in Toronto. In a neighbourhood where Mediterranean and exotics cuisine abound, Off the Hook’s menu stands out.
Since the restaurant's opening in 2011, health-conscious options have always featured prominently on the menu. Organic batters, gluten-free dishes and local produce are key ingredients in their recipe to success. “Steve, the owner of the restaurant, created the menu," says Chad Welton, manager at Off the Hook. "One day we realized that some pizza chains’ dipping sauces are quite a big thing so we created a few dipping sauces and those have been huge for us and also gluten-free batter options, which represent about 50 per cent of our sales.”
