Barberian's Steak House

Sneaky Dee's

Sneaky Dee's is a Toronto institution, best known for the bands that played there during Toronto's last music heyday in the late 1970s. Enter this family-run Riverdale operation, where every dish is prepared with love, and savour true Italian food culture in all its culinary glory. Good value is celebrated here, with generous, home-style portions that don’t disappoint. Chef Rosa Marinuzzi updates her menu regularly, changing up this fish dish for this lamb flank, this linguine for this lasagna. The result is a delightful romp through the best of this special cuisine, which can all be ably washed down with a pitcher of 7 Numbers’ excellent sangria. On the last Monday of each month, when the restaurant at Eglinton is usually closed for her one day off, chef Marinuzzi opens wide her kitchen to share her secrets. The $85 Italian cooking fee includes the food, the wine and “a chance to make a mess in a kitchen and not clean it up.”

On a cold, snowy Edmonton night, nothing says lovin’ like a cup of hot chocolate.
