“You’ll see when you walk in here that we are a hands-on company,” Randy Ahl says. “We love to chat with our clients and we make sure the service side is as strong as the relationship with any customer. We guarantee fit while we focus on family safety and service. That being said, we have equipment and expertise for every level of sports skill.”
A lifelong skier, Randy was looking to get into his own business. He began cold-calling stores with the intent of partnering up with someone and hit it off with the owner of Abominable Sports. “Being able to buy into a business with an experienced partner was great. I was working in a golf store before this,” Randy says. “I started here in 1999 and I bought out the original owner in 2011. Now my wife and I own and operate it with a handful of professional staff.”
