Warnign: Terrible treatment of customers
On Sunday, September 8th 2013 at 1.52am, I called Checker Yellow Cab as I have always done before to request a cab to my house. After the phone range a few times, the automated service did not started. The phone only rang. This had also happen before on Friday September 6th. When I got a customer service rep, I was then informed that my address was Black Listed. I asked the CSR why was the address Black Listed, she told me that she did not know why. I continued to inquire for an explanation and she responded rather rudely and hung up. A few minutes later, I called Checker Yellow Cab again in order to speak to another customer service agent to find out why and was told that because I called another Cab Service, the address was black listed. I was rather puzzled and shock since this CSR was also rather rude. All I know is on that Friday morning, I had to head to an 8.30am class and called the cab service requesting for a cab which I had done on numerous occasions. After waiting for 34 minutes for a cab to arrive, I boarded a bus which was also late. In my hast to get to my class which I was already 18 minutes late for, I tried to call Checker Yellow Cab and Associate Cab to cancel both cabs. I did not get an automated service to quicken my request, but the phone just kept on ringing. Once I got to my class I was unable to answer any calls. By the time I got out of my class 3 hours later, it was too late to call the cab company. I am shocked that the address would be Black Listed. I have had positive experiences with the drivers, however the treatment I got from the Check Yellow Cab call centre was horrendous. I have ALWAYS paid for my cab service and have had positive interactions with the drivers. So for my address to be Black Listed because their automated phone service made it impossible to hasten my cancellation request is appalling! If this is how this so called cab company treats it's customers, I would warn against using Checker Yellow Cab.
