Gio's is one of our favourite restaurants in Barrie. The restaurant is the perfect size (not too noisy) and the food & service couldn't be better! I would recommend this spot to anyone!

I have to say, I have never been so impressed by...

I have to say, I have never been so impressed by a restaurant Italian or otherwize! My friends and I dine frequently in Barrie and have rareley found a place that pays so much attention to detail. The young chef, owner and service staff create a vibe unlike any other! You must try this place!

very small but cozy maybe one day the owner will expand. service - food, i give gio's an A plus overall. i think he can build a second level upstairs, that would be fantastic

Quaint little restaurant although a tad noisy......

Quaint little restaurant although a tad noisy. Male server at front greeted us in a stern unfriendly way; apart from that the service was friendly although we had to wait a while for our meal. The food was excellent, flavoured just right with a nice array of vegetables. I ordered the duck with wild mushrooms which was a special and cost $28 which was a bit expensive but very tasty with crispy outside and my husband ordered a creamy chicken and mushroom pasta dish which cost $16 and was flavoured with a nice amount of garlic with fresh basil and tomatoes. We would definitely recommend this restaurant as it was a pleasant dining experience and they really do know how to make their sauces and we look forward to a return visit but please put someone friendly at the front desk to greet you.
