Strolled over to Jay Sons this aft with my babes and bros, Jay was rockin Florence and the Machine, nice choice bro. his wife was coolin behind the lotto tickets. Bought some smokes and peacocked a bit the jay.
The Ranch is a great place for food and to have fun. The Ranch has a warm country vibe, with a wood rustic look. During the day, The Ranch serves amazing food. From appetizers like nachos, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings, to meals like wings, ribs and a wide selection of sandwiches. The service is fast and the waitresses are helpful and always happy. At night, the ranch is a complete country bar with a very friendly atmosphere. With cheap admission, people can enjoy dancing on the big dance floor, listening to live bands play amazing country music, riding the mechanical bull or sit and drink with friends. Thursday nights is ladies night where admission is free for ladies who wear a cowboy hat and plaid. Fridays is guy’s night where guys get in free if they are wearing plaid, a cowboy hat and cowboy boots. Friday nights you also have a chance of winning Toronto Maple Leafs hockey tickets. The beer is cheap and the people are friendly. This is a place worth going to whether it’s for food or for just for a good time with friends on the weekend.
I am not really into too much Country Music... but we were pleasantly surprised. We had dinner there and they have everything was goodt. Wings were great and my companion said the sole was as well! The Sweet Potato Fries and Onion Rings were awesome!
This was our first trip back to the Ranch since it has been completely renovated. The place looks AMAZING! They did a fantastic job. Everything is brand new but still has the country charm we love. We went there to have dinner, drinks and dance. Everyone in our party loved their food. We had steak, ribs and schnitzel. My husband orders steak wherever we go and he said it was just as good-if not better than- the steak he gets at steakhouses but for one-third of the price. Our service was quick and friendly and the live band was great!
I very much enjoy the Stampede, the music and other diners are always friendly. I don't find the waitress staff very friendly but the food is fantastic and the beer is cold. It is one of the few places left where you can enjoy a meal outside in the fall and still remain warm. Not to mention, if you are a smoker, you can still relax there.
The only time i come here is for the patio and it's very cool. It's usually packed on warm days. The veggie burger tasted better than it looked. And they don't serve it to you with a piece of wet lettuce on top of your bun like those more expensive bar & griils! Hooray! The fries were awesome! it had some extra crunchy things on it... i don't know what but almost like the little fried stuff on tempura, except not as much. Very good value...it was only $5 and I was very happy. the waitress was really friendly and checked up on us fairly regulary, which was a bit surprise since we were the only ones on the patio and i figured we'd be forgotten. nope!
The place does serve food. It was not that great. I had the Nacho's which were rushed through bar stuff. Don't come here for pub food. Bar, country yep that it is. Booze prices were ok, service is ok, but if your coming to eat as we did, it is disappointing.
Needs work. no drinks on dance floor and floor for dancing not standing around.Traveled from Hamilton to attend was not thrilled.
The mushrooms were very nice. Chicken was ok but nothing great. Waitress was prompt and nice but we were the only ones therre when we walked in so not sure how it is when busy. The ceiling is.. interesting.

AMAZING PLACE,love the food, best fries, wings, all around pub food in guelph, the staff are amazing and the food is top notch, there is live entertainment thursday, friday, saturday, but come early as it picks up past 930
Not only great food, but you would be hard pressed to find better prices. The atmosphere was what totally made our night....feeling like we had walked into the old west and being served by the most polite little cowgirls. The next time Im in town, I wont hesitate to go back!
The food is tasty and good portions. The service was a bit slow, but the waitress was very attentive. If you don't like crowds, don't stay for the band afterwards, but overall a nice dining experience. Love the covered smoking patio. I'd go back just for the convenience of smoking indoors.
